KEDS staff returned to the "Drenica" school in Morinë, where on June 1st they opened the library at this school. This time they participated in the promotion of the book "Abetare Jam", of a sixth-grade student of this school, Alketa Kuçica.
Alketa had in the scripture 115 poems and her wish was to publish them but couldn’t. KEDS kept the promise and fulfilled Alketa’s wish.
The school was filled with art lovers and guests. The head of the school, Gëzim Gashi, said two words: "You honored us with the publication of Alketa’s book, thank you all who helped to publish the book," said the director.
At the school also came the poet who edited the book of Alketa, Hysen Kqiku, who talked about the values of poetry and showed about the initiative and the way of realizing this work.
"These are soulful poetry, original, didactic and with very beautiful comparisons. This intelligent girl will become a famous writer in the future, "said Kqiku.
Many poems were also read by creators and students and many pictures were made to remain in memory with the upcoming writer.
Also, Alketa’s parents were present who seemed very happy. "We are very happy. I would have never believed that one day we will experience this. I thank all those who made the publication of the book possible, said Alketa's father, Safet Kuçica.
In the end, the school principal shared some gratitude for the contributors to the book.
"With a little help, great writers and poets can emerge," said Director of Services at KEDS, Zafer Yilmaz, in acknowledgment of gratitude.
In the last rows of the class, Alketa was excited with her book in hand.
"I have been working hard so far and will continue to write many books in the future," Alketa said.
