KEDS invested three new substations and several kilometers of new network in Sofali of Pristina
The "Sofalia" neighborhood near Gërmia in Pristina has taken a new look after the completion of the KEDS energy project. There are 148 families who benefit from this investment.
Little before the completion of the project by KEDS, neighborhood residents were supplied only by one substation that was insufficient to meet the energy needs of the local population. "Sofalia" is expanding every day with new homes and constructions. With the increase of the population, there is a need to increase the new energy capacities.
For this project KEDS has placed three substations. An armor type substation with a power of 630 kVA, another 160 kV power of pole mounted type and a 100 kVA power pole mounted substation.
There is also laid a 4.5 km of low voltage and 1 km of medium voltage air network and 980m of underground network. While the poles are only of concrete, and that 95 low voltage poles and 14 poles of medium voltage. Neighborhood residents thank KEDS for this new energy infrastructure.
"With these investments and changes made by KEDS in the energy network, we now have much better. The electrical equipment we have safe and we are no longer afraid of the bare wires. Now voltage has stabilized. We thank KEDS for the work it has done", said Fikrije Bojniku, a neighborhood resident.
Such investments, always according to the foreseen plan will be extended to the entire territory of Kosovo.
