Residents of Zhupës of Prizreni with new energy infrastructure 28-09-2018

KEDS has completed the construction project of overhead line 10 kV (LP 10 kV) in the Prizren Zhupa region. Beneficiaries are the villages of Reçan, Llokvic, Lubinje e Poshtme, Upper Lubinje, located on a hill-mountainous terrain in the southeastern part of Prizren.

Thanks to this high-voltage investment, thousands of residents now have a completely new energy infrastructure. This investment is realized according to the Master Plan drafted by KEDS.

In addition to the above mentioned sites, from the construction of the new overhead line and distribution switchgears has also benefited the villages of Nebrogosht and Manastirica, where the division of the overhead line LP 10 kV into four segments enables selective separation to avoid breakdowns.

In these localities predominantly live the inhabitants of the Bosnian community. They say that for 50 years there has been no serious energy investment in these parts and the situation has been too heavy.
The old energy network, frequent breakdowns have been the cause of building a new 10kV network.

A underground network is also placed inside the village of Lubinjë e Poshtme.

This village, which has about 3000 inhabitants, who mainly deal with construction, have been in the big trouble and each house has used stabilizers.

Village chairman, Abdyl Bilibani, says they are now satisfied with this investment made by KEDS.

"We are very pleased and we have no power outages as before. The danger has also been removed. The whole village now has a stable voltage and have removed from use the stabilizers. We thank KEDS for this project", says Bilibani.

During the implementation of this project are placed new poles of different types, ABC cable, new conductors and underground cables.

Even for the 650 houses in Upper Lubiana there will be significant energy changes. Here are placed 10kV insulated twisted cables. For retired Ramadan Ademi, a village resident, KEDS investment has been more than necessary.

"We had very bad electricity, disaster. Thank god has been regulated and now we are happy. For KEDS we have countless thanks", Ademi concluded.

KEDS is committed to continue this type of investment to meet customer needs.
