On Saturday, disconnection from the power grid begins for businesses without a contract with a licensed supplier
KEDS, in its capacity as the Distribution System Operator, urgently informs all consumers connected at any voltage level within the distribution network of the following important notice:
In accordance with the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) notice dated August 13, 2025, starting from August 16, 2025, KEDS is legally prohibited from allowing the continuation of electricity supply for consumers who do not have a valid agreement with a licensed supplier. This obligation derives from paragraph 7 of Article 39 of the Law on Electricity and Article 8 of the Rule on Changing the Supplier.
Immediate and necessary action!
To preserve the stability and integrity of the power system, on August 16, 2025, KEDS will disconnect from the distribution network all consumers who do not have an active supply agreement.
If you have not yet signed a contract with an ERO-licensed supplier, you must do so without delay to avoid interruption of electricity supply.
This process constitutes a legal obligation as part of the electricity market liberalization reforms, in line with ERO guidelines, and must be fully implemented. KEDS does not provide electricity supply services—our role is exclusively limited to electricity distribution, and we are obliged to implement all ERO decisions.
Failure to take immediate action will result in disconnection from the network.
KEDS strongly urges you to contact an ERO-licensed supplier immediately to ensure the continuity of electricity supply, meet regulatory requirements, and avoid supply interruption.
KEDS is committed to providing the highest quality services, being available to every consumer, and strictly implementing all directives issued by regulatory bodies.
