As part of KEDS' investment plan, a major project was recently completed in the village of Gradicë, Drenas, involving the installation of a brand-new electrical network.

The picturesque landscape of the village has been enhanced by the addition of nearly 130 new concrete electric poles, supporting approximately 7,000 meters of electric cables over a span of 7 kilometers. In addition, two new transformers and over 60 distribution cabinets have been installed. The total value of this project is close to 130,000 euros.

With the completion of this project, the residents of Gradicë will no longer face challenges with a stable electricity supply for decades to come. The villagers explain that they had inherited an electrical network in serious disrepair, but now, with a completely new line, they are grateful to KEDS.

"I have been an initiator several times, using my own resources to try and improve the village's infrastructure. I understand the importance of investing in and improving living conditions. KEDS has done this for our village, and we are happy and grateful for the investment," says Tahir Dervishi, a resident who had returned from abroad for vacation.

This is not the only project underway in the municipality of Drenas. Another project is being implemented in Llapushnik, and several other projects in the final stages of completion are also taking place in Komoran, Poklek, and Vasileva.

According to the investment plan for 2024, KEDS plans to implement 250 capital projects.
