In the last few days in the regional markets, the peak time electricity price has reached over 400 euros per megawatt/hour.

This represents an increase of almost 100 percent of it, compared to the price of around 250 euros a week earlier.

This trend of continuously increasing the price of electricity that is coming along with the cooling of the weather, according to the estimates of the experts in the electricity market, is likely to be even higher during the following days and weeks.

Electricity consumption in Kosovo has recently reached over 1100 megawatts/hour, for which a significant amount of electricity needs to be imported in order to meet the demand.

The emergency situation we are in because of the energy crisis is becoming even more alarming due to the load on the electrical system in the country-the large consumption of electricity and its unaffordable prices in the international market.

KEDS/KSCO has carried out a series of awareness campaigns, through which they have called and continue to call on consumers to save as much electricity as possible, especially in heating-to find other alternatives for heating instead of electricity.

Let's all save as much as possible to have a sustainable electrical energy system and supply so that we can get through this winter as easily as possible.
